About our beautiful eco friendly handmade paper:

The paper is stronger, more beautiful and more versatile than industrial papers. It offers a great variety in texture and colour, depending on the fibres or combinations of fibres that are used. Our hand made paper is made only from vegetal fibres. It is free from toxic substances and its manufacture does not require the felling of trees.

Nature herself contributes lavishly to the making of our products. Entire gardens and forests - flowers, petals, stems, leaves, bark, grass, and seeds - combine to adorn and put their living forms and spirit onto the paper, making each product a unique creation. Our items are conceived to highlight the natural beauty of the paper and are lovely in their simplicity. Nature herself is the artist. The paper itself provides its own design.

Our paper products are created and manufactured in Auroville, an international city in South India, by a company which employs more than 60 workers, mostly women, who come from neighbouring villages. They are given training and made sensitive to ecological concerns and a greater appreciation of nature's beauty. Creative capacities are encouraged in an atmosphere of constant learning and striving for perfection.
